The End is Nigh

Right now I feel as though I’m living in an empire that’s about to fall. I think that everyone in this society is in severe denial over what’s about to happen. I know that I’m in denial when I’m talking about the world situation and then I steer the conversation towards my favorite TV show or all the shit I’m going to buy when I’m older and rich.

I don’t think our future will play out at all like it did for our parents. I’m not sure what we’re in store for, but I sincerely doubt it will be anything like the affluent, stable, and peaceful future of American freedom we’ve all been promised. In fact, I think it may be the exact opposite of that. And it’s so interesting to watch the denial. We all just keep doing what we’ve always been doing, as if the shit’s not about to hit the fan, even though what we’re doing is partially the cause of our downfall and maybe, just maybe, it’s not too late to avert disaster.

But is is too late to avert disaster because our actions have momentum. Even with a conscious effort to change things, it will take too much time. We’re in a luxury car, music blasting, doing drugs, laughing it up with our friends, heading straight for a cliff.

Fuck the Government

I’m sick of it. It’s not really doing anything for me. The word ‘revolution’ is not on anyone’s lips anymore. Why? because you can get your favorite tv show on dvd? Bravo, now you’re fulfilled. Stop being satisfied, start being dissatisfied. The current system is outdated, barbaric, cruel, inhuman. Love thy brother, hate begets hate, evil begets evil. Our problems started with order, not disorder, and humanity is not yet created. Let’s not forget the real purpose of life, that purpose is change. The status quo is terrible, we live in obscene times, we warship war. We think hate is good, hate will bring us peace, well it wont. We are sick, we are immature, let’s get it together people. It’s time for a new system, and, despite that I’m being monitored by the NSA, the word ‘revolution’ is on my lips. Fuck the establishment, having a vote between slave masters, doesn’t eliminate the system of masters and slaves.

We have to be blatant, I’m done dancing around the subject.
My name is Andrew

A Sinking Feeling

Right now I feel an ominous sense of doom. This country is screwed, the world is screwed, we’re in for one hell of a century. Where to begin? Global warming is melting the ice-caps faster than anyone expected. Sea levels are going to rise fast. We’re running out of oil and we don’t have a good alternative to take its place. energy prices are rising and they’re only going to get worse, especially because of new demand from China. America is in an enormous amount of debt and we have no way of paying it off any time soon. The government is slowly but surely eliminating our civil liberties. There is a ton of animosity towards this country all over the world. And we’re in a quagmire in Iraq that wont end for a looong time.

So let’s sum up: loosing the major source of energy, loosing a ton of land on which to live (due to rising sea levels), loosing our rights, loosing our economy, and being engaged in a perpetual war. Yes it’s easy for one to get depressed in the face of all this, I feel like I should encourage people to be optimistic, but right now I don’t feel very optimistic. Then again, the only possible way to get ourselves out of any of these predicaments is to get off our lazy asses and do it ourselves. A good place to start is WeAreGod.org since getting people to stand up and do something is exactly what they’re all about. The world is in a bad place, we must do something about it!

consumerism is the government realizing that they can easily distract people with shiny lights and toys and comfortable things and sugar and fat and creature comforts. they tell us that that’s what freedom is, but really it just distracts us. it distracts us from reflecting on the world, and reflecting on death, and reflecting on life, and the way things are. we spend our time buying things, and creating waste. all the while slowly killing our planet. and we never see it, or we do see it and we don’t care. my only hope is that somehow the drive towards giving us all information and pleasure at a convenience leads to us living in some utopic fairy land. perhaps through technology we will be set free. there’s always two sides to the coin

Woah

Ok, interesting story. In 10th grade I was doing a math equation, and I got an incorrect answer. The answer I got was -1/21. Now for whatever reason, when I saw that number I liked it. I thought it was special for some reason, I didn’t know why I just had a feeling. So I’ve remembered it for all these years (I think that Diabolicus and/or “the one that has been” can verify this part of the story). Shoot ahead to the present, I’m bored, so I decide to type 12/21/12 (december 21, 2012. if you don’t know the significance of this date…look it up) into google. Well google has this feature now where if you type in an equation, it solves it for you. I had unwittingly done this, so I see the number 0.0476190476 and I’m thinking “this looks familiar.” So I try typing in -1/21 and lo and behold it equals -0.0476190476. At this point my mind is throughly blown. I mean, I definitely knew nothing about all this mysticism shit back in 10th grade, I just felt something special about that number, and I’ve been trying to figure out why for years. And now it just happens to be equal to a date that I hold sacred? Too weird. Any lingering doubts about the reality of that date are washed away for me.
