It’s about time

You know, one of the first things that was changed in Iraq after Saddam’s regime was toppled was the currency. Saddam’s image and other symbols were removed from all forms of legal tender. Then, after that was done, they started putting together a new government. The money had new symbols and faces on it, I’m not specifically sure which or who’s, respectively.

Take a look at a dollar bill. Yeah, I know you’ve done this before. But think about how more often than not, by far in fact, people simple see the dollar bill, the images and symbols, without being conscious of what they see, again and again, day in, day out. Anything our nervous systems percieve, in any form of signal, becomes integrated in some way to the nervous system itself.

All I’m saying is, wouldn’t it be nice if our money looked less cryptic, or if the faces of the people on the money weren’t all slave owners and freemasons? What if the twenty was changed to a portrait of kermit the frog? Wouldn’t that be nicer than Andrew Jackson? Didn’t he kill a ton of Seminole indians? Kermit wasn’t even real. Never caused any harm to anyone. Plus, he’s green, so he’d be perfect. I’m kidding, but seriously, our minds are the battlefield, you have got to remember that.

Its time for us to wake up and face our subconscious, collectively. We’ve been played like guitar strings for a long time, and there’s a lot of crap in the attic by now. It is time to dig up those bones and take a good hard look at them, because they are ours.

The honest book of truth isn’t dead yet. It was sleeping. Wake the fuck up!

Preparation

So, as I sort-of brought to our collective attention the other day, and as we knew before, things are pretty insane. Also of note is the fact that the clocks are being changed FOUR weeks earlier than usual this year. I think that’s quite a leap, huh? Proof that our calendar (interestingly enough known as the Gregorian) is pretty much out of synch with time. But you could come to that conclusion by paying attention simply to the weather.

Anyway, I think this all falls into the 2012 realm. Things are speeding up, and the closer we get to the center of the spiral, or the end of time, or whatever, the more history seems to recapitulate itself… Look at our current political situation, and how it eerily mirrors MANY periods in history. They say history repeats, right? Well, I think that’s right-on, more literally than I was brought up to perceive.

I’ve been mulling all this over in my head, trying to figure out my connection to it all. I think much of what’s happening is so grand in scale that we can’t really concern ourselves with it without getting frustrated. Instead, it might be better to focus on yourself and that which is immediately surrounding you. I often feel very negative impulses when I come up against the “big stuff”, i.e. anything related to Bush and Co., the environment, or whatever else. When I think about the little picture, so to speak, I am moved to propagate optimism and positivity.

I think we should focus on energy, and raising energy levels inside ourselves and around us. This can be accomplished by having good intentions and treating yourself and others well. Write nice notes to people, or whatever comes naturally, just do it. Don’t expect anything in return. Just know that you are raising the energy frequency in the field surrounding you.

2012 is coming, its less than six years away. The best thing we can do to prepare is raise our energy levels and frequencies. We are lucky enough to have found each other, and I don’t think it’s any coincidence.

We must be pillars.

Remember when we linked arms in my barren living room in Tivoli? Remember when the lightning struck?

The Science Of One

The Human experience is the one unifying object that every person has in common.

The quality of everyones experience is no where near the same. The variety of experience is what gives rise to the vast differences we find between people in their views and accompanying actions.

But when it comes down to it the Human experience is the same. The only differing factor seems to be circumstantial differences in environment which give rise to thought unfamiliar to our own. So what does this idea lead us to? Where do we go with this idea that the basis of all thought is the same; that consciousness has an undeniable character to it that spans the whole of the human race? The whole of the universe perhaps.

Where does this enigma come from? What could possibly give rise to this absurd concept of a mind, a self aware object in a seemingly unaware system of rules?

Somewhere, deep in the heart of these rules there must be something (there must be because we have the undeniable proof that consciousness exists in our universe) that governs the rules of consciousness, something that allows the consciousness to exist and to act in the way that it does. Somewhere at the base of physics there lies the rules of consciousness, the “thing” that allows for certain portions of the universe to have a subjective experience of itself. And this thing is the thing of the universe.

In order for consciousness to exist at a large scale there must be something that is like consciousness, something that is the building block that allows for complex systems like our brains to act in the way that they do providing us with the unique view of the world that we have.

This fundamental building block. The seed of mind.

From this grows the most interesting phenomenon that has been discovered in the universe. Ourselves.

If consciousness is rooted in the physical there is no problem of Body and Mind. They are equal. Coexistant. Intertwined. Eternally married into the one object that governs both and all.

This is the essence of monism. The science of one. The next step in our spiritual development.

The End is Nigh

Right now I feel as though I’m living in an empire that’s about to fall. I think that everyone in this society is in severe denial over what’s about to happen. I know that I’m in denial when I’m talking about the world situation and then I steer the conversation towards my favorite TV show or all the shit I’m going to buy when I’m older and rich.

I don’t think our future will play out at all like it did for our parents. I’m not sure what we’re in store for, but I sincerely doubt it will be anything like the affluent, stable, and peaceful future of American freedom we’ve all been promised. In fact, I think it may be the exact opposite of that. And it’s so interesting to watch the denial. We all just keep doing what we’ve always been doing, as if the shit’s not about to hit the fan, even though what we’re doing is partially the cause of our downfall and maybe, just maybe, it’s not too late to avert disaster.

But is is too late to avert disaster because our actions have momentum. Even with a conscious effort to change things, it will take too much time. We’re in a luxury car, music blasting, doing drugs, laughing it up with our friends, heading straight for a cliff.

Isn’t There Something More?

I wonder, I dream, I believe that anything is possible. I always have. But our society robs people of imagination, it tells them to disregard it because those are just silly thoughts…let the experts take care of things. Not that I’m trying to put the blame on something besides the people themselves; we created and we sustain our society. We’re all guilty of it. It’s because we’re afraid. We leave the big decisions to someone else. Of course when you let a small group of people make decisions for all the others they will abuse that power. What we need is true freedom, but in order to make that workable we need to be mature and responsible, and we need to be able to detach ourselves from our emotions in order to make wise decisions. Don’t you ever wonder if there’s not more to life? I see beauty and mystery everywhere I look, but instead of cultivating that beauty and investigating that mystery we ignore it and twist it to work for us. We must conquer fear for fear is what enables others to control us. You must enslave yourself before others can enslave you. But most people think they prefer their chains; that is a fallacy. Freedom is as wonderful as it is frightening. It’s the most beautiful thing there is and it should be cherished. Instead we all give our silent consent to a system that is alienating, enslaving, and killing us, as well as our great mother Earth.
