You're almost certainly right that the end goal will be a new begining. I can't help but think of 12/21/12. I feel like things are culminating, and that we might just be lucky enough to live through the culmination. With all of the sustainibility issues that the earth is facing, a revolution seems unavoidable. A whole new way of life, where humans live in accordance with nature, and possibly learn a new way to use their minds. I hope all of this is true, because life without a goal is a disappointment. Like drinking Aristocrat vodka without getting drunk. If I am going to work hard to stay alive and devote myself to some form of progress, I'd like to see some results.
