Think About It
Modern communications technology is another scourge on thought. Never being out of touch is a terrible thing. For starters it means that you can never escape from your job. Blackberries and cell phones just extend work’s presence from it’s previous existence caged inside the workplace to everywhere you go (except the subway…for now). Technology ought to be giving us more free time instead of taking it away from us. The amount of free time had by the average American is decreasing at an alarming rate. I fear that in the not to distant future it may be all but gone. This serves the establishment very well, the less we think the more they can get away with. How did they manage to invade a country that never attacked us or threatened us? How is it that the Bush administration is completely scandal proof(Rove leaking a CIA agent’s identity, the Downing Street memo)? Why aren’t people thinking up new and better systems of government? New systems of societal arrangement? It’s because we don’t think for ourselves anymore. There is so much potential out there, we know nothing at all. So much to learn, to explore. Why isn’t that our primary focus? We should be expanding our understanding of humanity and reality, but instead we just keep fighting amongst ourselves like a bunch of kindergardeners. So please, for the good of humanity, start to question what you’re told, avoid to corporate news media, and take a few minutes a day, at least!, to think about whatever you want to think about.

SPEAK IT!
It’s like those dumb ass bracelets and bumper stickers… People see them and say, “Ohh! I care about that too! I care about that cause! I’m gonna go get me one of those stickers and slap it on my car, then I’ll be supporting that cause just like everybody else.” I think a large part of it is built in fear of rejection, the need to conform, etc. And the result is that people all like and do the same stupid shit. Fuck those dumb ass bracelets and bumper stickers… Think for yourself! Question authority! Disobey!
